Encrypted, in transit and at rest
Everything you send is encrypted on the way (TLS) and encrypted where it is stored. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
Hosted in Sydney
Your account, your conversations, your memory and your billing records sit with Supabase in Australia (AWS Sydney, ap-southeast-2). The app itself runs on Render in Singapore.
You decide what it remembers
Memory is on by default so you never re-explain yourself. From Privacy & memory you can switch it off, see every saved fact, delete any of them, and download a copy of your data.
Never used to train AI models
We do not use your conversations to train AI models. The model providers we use, Anthropic and OpenAI, are not permitted to either under the API contracts we operate on.
Nothing outlives your decision to delete it.
Three things you can do from inside the app.
Temporary chat
Start one from your workspace menu. Careersy learns nothing from it: no facts are saved, your CV is not shown to it, and it starts fresh. The conversation stays in your account so you can scroll back.
See and edit your memory
Privacy & memory lists every fact Careersy has saved about you. Tell it what to remember, what to forget, or switch memory off and it keeps what it has but learns nothing new.
Delete in one click
Delete a conversation, a fact, a document or your whole account from inside the app. No email, no waiting on us. Account deletion is immediate and permanent.

The AI providers see a message only to answer it. Everything else stays in Sydney.

Who can read my conversations?
You, and the small Careersy team when reviewing quality or answering a support request. Nobody else. The AI providers process each message to answer it and are not allowed to keep it for training.
What happens to my CV when I use the free score without an account?
The scan is anonymous, with no name or email attached, and it is deleted within 24 hours unless you claim it into an account. If you claim it, it becomes your saved CV and stays until you delete it.
Can I get everything you hold about me?
Yes. Download a copy of your data any time from Privacy & memory in your profile. A formal access request by email is answered within 30 days, usually free.
Which privacy law applies?
We hold ourselves to the Australian Privacy Principles for everyone who uses Careersy AI, and the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) applies to how we handle New Zealand users. Complaints go to support@careersy.ai with "Privacy complaint" in the subject line.
