Sub-processors
Overview
Careersy AI uses a small number of vetted third-party services to deliver the product. These services act as sub-processors of your personal data on our behalf. We share only the data each service needs to perform its function, hold each provider to standards consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and remain accountable for how they handle your data under our Privacy Policy.
This page is the current list. We will update it before adding a new sub-processor or removing an existing one.
| Sub-processor | Purpose | Data shared | Country |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Our database and sign-in. The system of record for your account | Everything you save in the product: your profile, your CV, your conversations, your memory and your billing records | Australia (AWS Sydney, ap-southeast-2) |
| Render | Application hosting. The servers that run Careersy AI | Anything you send or receive passes through in memory while a request is being served. Nothing is stored there | Singapore |
| Anthropic | The AI model that generates Careersy AI's responses, and that scores a CV in the free CV score | The content of your conversation, plus the profile facts the system shares with the model for that turn under our fail-closed gates. In the free CV score, the text of the CV you paste, with no account and no name attached to it | United States |
| OpenAI | Audio transcription, when you use voice input | Audio content and the resulting transcript | United States |
| Voyage AI | Vector embeddings for semantic search across your data | Text being embedded (for example: profile fields, conversation snippets, job listing text) | United States |
| Exa | Web search used by certain Careersy AI features | The search query | United States |
| Resend | Email delivery, for both account emails and anything you subscribe to | Your email address, the content of the email, and whether it was opened or a link was clicked | United States |
| Sentry | Error monitoring, so we can find and fix faults | Technical details of an error, scrubbed of personal information before they are sent | United States |
| Stripe | Payment processing for subscriptions | Billing details: name, email, payment method tokens | United States (with Stripe's Australian-licensed entity contracting with Australian customers) |
| Telegram | Operational alerts to the Careersy team, such as a new subscriber or a guide download | For subscription and guide alerts, your first name and email address. Other alerts are scrubbed of personal information before they are sent | United Arab Emirates, with servers worldwide |
| Google Analytics | Aggregate website and product usage analytics (how people find, sign up for, and use the Service) | A pseudonymous analytics identifier, usage and device data, and activity events (e.g. sign-up, first use, checkout, purchase amount) — never your name, email, or conversation/CV content | United States |
How we hold sub-processors accountable
- Each provider is bound by contract to process your data only to deliver the service above.
- We share the minimum data needed for each function.
- The AI model providers (Anthropic and OpenAI), under the API contracts we operate on, are not permitted to use your data to train their models.
- Your core account data, including profile, conversation history, memory, and billing records, is stored with Supabase in Australia (AWS Sydney,
ap-southeast-2). The other sub-processors above process specific content to deliver features; they are not the system of record for your data.
Storage versus processing
Storage is in Australia. The application itself runs in Singapore, so anything you send passes through there in memory while a request is being served, without being stored. Processing, where the model and supporting services read content to generate a response, happens with the sub-processors above, primarily in the United States. We disclose all three so you can decide how to use the product with full information.
